We are thrilled to present our Autmn key lecture "Atlantic to Mediterranean", Ken Scott's inspiring journey on foot over the entire length of the Pyrenees by the Pyrenean High Route (HRP)
Ken is a widely-acclaimed photographer with a passion for light and for the mountain experience. He is an inspirational speaker, presenting regularly to audiences across the UK, and also a member of Steyning Camera Club.
The Pyrenean High Route is one of Europe's great wilderness adventures.
It runs for 500 miles from Hendaye to Banyuls sur Mer, from the rich green Basque to Catalonia and the Mediterranean coast, through the Pyrenees National Park and wild and lonely mountains of Spain and Andorra.
Travelling with his best mate, Ken's journey took fifty days, climbing more than 50000m over high passes and past the Pyrenees highest summits.
More than just a travelogue, Ken will immerse you in the experience, the challenge, the friendships, the culture. It is also a life journey: anything is possible if we hold on to our dreams and get out of our own way.
